WHAT IS JEUVEAU AND HOW DOES IT DIFFER FROM SIMILAR INJECTABLES?
One of the newest injectables to receive FDA approval for the temporary treatment of moderate-to-severe skin aging signs is Jeuveau, developed by Evolus. Jeuveau, like BOTOX® Cosmetic, is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and neurotoxin that stops muscle contractions that cause wrinkles, preserving smooth, younger-looking skin.
Jeuveau is the first 900 kDa molecule toxin since BOTOX®, which sets it apart from other neurotoxins. The smaller kDa molecules used in Dysport® and Xeomin® are also used in other neurotoxin treatments. The longevity of these smaller molecules is inferior to that of the 900 kDa constituents of Jeuveau.
Additionally produced using Evolus’ Hi-Pure technology is Jeuveau. WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT AND HOW IS JEUVEAU INJECTED?
Jeuveau is an acetylcholine release inhibitor that is injected repeatedly into the underlying muscles. Once in the muscle, the specialized Hi-Pure formulation binds to the nerve receptors that cause the muscle to contract and relax, blocking their function.
Wrinkles on the skin’s surface are simultaneously made softer.
